Secret Vegetables started with a simple observation: most families want to eat more vegetables, but real life gets in the way. Busy schedules, picky eaters, and weeknight dinners don’t always leave room for perfectly balanced meals.

We created Secret Vegetables to make that easier. Real vegetables. Thoughtfully prepared. Designed for real kitchens.

Most families want to eat together

But the reality of everyday cooking can look very different.

Kids refuse broccoli. Vegetables sit in the fridge unused. Busy nights turn into quick meals that don’t always include enough plants.

We didn’t want another complicated health routine. We wanted something that simply fit into the meals families already make.

Where this started

It started in our kitchen: Lauren and Brown Loper were just trying to solve a problem at home. In Brown’s words:

“As we got older, we realized we weren’t eating as many vegetables as we thought. Then we had kids, and it became even more obvious. We tried serving vegetables, changing meals, doing all the things you’re supposed to.

It didn’t stick. Meals became a negotiation, and on busy nights, vegetables were the first thing to go. The shift came when we stopped trying to change meals and started working with them.

We began experimenting with real vegetables, lightly blanching and dehydrating them, then turning them into a fine powder. Instead of replacing dinner, we added to it.

A spoonful into pasta sauce. Mixed into eggs. Blended into meals we were already making. And for the first time, there were no complaints.”

Mother and Daughter Cooking

Made for real life

This isn’t about changing the way you cook. It’s about making small additions that fit into what you’re already doing.

You can blend it into smoothies, or add it to soups and baked goods.

It doesn’t take extra time. It doesn’t require a second plan. It just becomes part of the meal.

Why this matters to us

For busy parents, it’s a way to add vegetables to meals their kids already eat without extra prep or a second plan for dinner.

It blends seamlessly into recipes, so the dish still tastes like itself, which means fewer battles at the table.

It’s a small habit, but it’s one families can actually stick with. And over time, that consistency is what makes the difference.

Cooking

Better eating doesn’t have to be complicated

We believe healthier habits should fit naturally into everyday life. Secret Vegetables isn’t meant to replace fresh vegetables: it’s simply a practical way to add more of them to the meals you already cook.

Because sometimes the smallest changes are the ones that stick.
